This year is the 20th anniversary of establishment of HKSAR as well as the returning of Hong Kong to PRC. The CARMINA BARUMA concert, held by Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, sponsored by Vita Green, was successfully held tonight at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre at Tsim Sha Tsui. The folk-inspired ‘Carmina Baruma’ has an energetic and vigorous tempo, interpreting lively vitality through its music which harmony with Vita Green’s motto ‘health, youth, joy’ very much.

The opening ceremony was held by Dr. Chan Hei-ling, the CEO of Vita Green, Mr. Andrew Leung Kwan-yuen, GBS, MBE, JP, the President of Legislative Council of HKSAR, Prof. Sophia Chan, JP, the Under Secretary for Food and Health, Mr. Jasper Tsan Yok-sing, GBM, JP, the former President of Legislative Council of HKSAR, and Dr. Tse Tak-fu, vice-president of Vita Green Charitable Foundation. Over 50 celebrities attended the ceremony and concert, including artists Elanne Kong and Mak Ling-ling. The conductor of the concert is Karina Canellakis, one of today’s most dynamic and exciting young American conductors. She performed with Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra Chorus and the Hong Kong Children’s Choir, bringing the blessing of Hong Kong’s flourishing future through the popular masterpieces.

Dr. Chan Hei-ling, the CEO of Vita Green expressed her feelings on the opening ceremony, ‘It has been 20 years since HKSAR’s establishment. Under the ‘one country, two systems’ rule of great leader Deng Xiao-ping, Hong Kong is able to retain its freedom and unique lifestyle while keep on flourishing under the protection of China. It proves the success of the rule. Throughout these 20 years, Vita Green has been paying effort and growing up with Hong Kong people among the ups and downs. With the completion of Vita Green’s new headquarter at Tai Po, Vita Green has turned a new page of its history and is ready to march to the world. We would continue to fulfill our motto in bringing health, youth, joy to all people and enlighten the better and happier life of Hong Kong people.’
